Laura champions science as a
guest speaker, presenter and advocate
Laura helps build science literacy by delivering astronomy outreach talks to diverse audiences, from amateur astronomy clubs and seniors' organizations to school classes. Laura also frequently participates in events that highlight and celebrate the contributions of women in STEM.
Astronomy often acts as a gateway to getting kids and grown-ups alike excited about science. They only need to look up to the stars. I love using astronomy outreach to build scientific literacy and get people excited about science.
