Cynthia champions science with the
McMaster's Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) Initiative
Cynthia is one of the student leaders volunteering with the McMaster Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Initiative. WISE plays a key role in supporting, celebrating and advocating for diversity and equity at McMaster and beyond the university through community outreach, mentorship and conferences.
Communication and outreach increase public awareness and support for science while at the same time increasing public understanding of specific issues. The fact that communication and outreach highlight the dedication of scientists to making our world a better place is an added bonus.
