Thanking our Champions
We're proud to introduce you to some of the remarkable Science Champions in our Faculty of Science and from across McMaster University.
Our Science Champions are a diverse group of students and alumni, postdoctoral fellows, faculty members and staff.
They give tours on campus and deliver talks in the community. They host competitions, run workshops and organize speakers' series. They write books and op-eds, give interviews to journalists and make presentations to politicians. Our Champions also post to social media and star in science videos.
And then there are all the Science Champions from across our university working behind the scenes to support and shine the spotlight on their colleagues in our Faculty of Science.
While they're communicating and connecting in many ways, our Champions are all working toward the same goals. Share their research and make the case for science. Strengthen science literacy to help separate fact from fiction. Inspire our next generations of scientists.
Our Faculty of Science believes this is vitally important work. That's why we've made engagement one of our key strategic priorities, along with learning and discovery. By staying focused on these three priorities, we're doing our part to help transform our world through science.
So we are honoured and excited to introduce you to our Science Champions. You'll get to know not only what they're doing but why they're passionate about engaging with the community.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to any of our Science Champions. They're always ready to explore new partnerships, exchange ideas, share their expertise and connect with new people who share their passion for all things science.
Sincerely,
