NSERC announces 2016 Discovery research programs results
Congratulations to Science’s researchers, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who received research funding from multiple programs of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC). The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science made the official announcement on campus and stressed the importance of discovery research. Science researchers are among 100 McMaster researchers who benefited from over $15.7 million granted to the University. Among the awards announced, faculty members Sigal Balshine, Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour; Soo Hyun Byun, Physics & Astronomy; Ian Dworkin, Biology; and Gail Wolkowicz, Mathematics & Statistics received Discovery Accelerator Supplements to further fuel their research programs.
