Citizen Science on the Bruce Peninsula
Three Saugeen Ojibway Nation high school students, Kyle Robson, Christian Mackenzie and Gubby MacDonald, had the chance to experience hands-on environmental science this summer as they collected water samples and examined aquatic wildlife along a portion of Sucker Creek on the Bruce Peninsula. Participating in the URBAN First Nations, a new research and community partnership between the University and the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, the students then came to McMaster to analyze the samples and present their water quality results.
