Dr. James Michael (Mike) Waddington is a Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Ecohydrology and a Professor in the School of Earth, Environment & Society at McMaster University. Mike has over 30 years of boreal wetland research experience and has published over 130 scientific papers. He also has over 20 years of expertise working together with energy companies (peat, oil and wind) on boreal wetland restoration and management. Dr. Waddington is a co-founder of the scientific journal Ecohydrology and was the 2014 British Hydrological Society Penman Lecturer. Dr. Waddington is a self-proclaimed map geek and an active adventure runner and adventure racer.
