Dr Carey is a Professor in the School of Earth, Environment & Society and heads the Watershed Hydrology Group at McMaster University. His research interests include hydrological, biogeochemical and land surface processes in natural and human impacted environments. He has a particular interest in long-term research projects and working with stakeholders and communities to better steward water resources.

Research Staff and Post-Doctoral fellows
Dr Treberg helps run the show from Ottawa. He has a PhD in plant ecology, yet "enjoys" the trials and tribulations of making sure all the equipment works and designing/building instruments for the lab and field.

Dr Drewitt crunches all the data to evaluate the biometeorological fluxes of water and carbon from reclamation and natural ecosystems, He also keeps the mountains of data in order.

Graduate Students
Amanda's MSc work involves using hydrometric and stable isotope data to assess storage and sources of water in permafrost underlain Yukon streams.

Calvin Newbery is starting his MSc in September 2024 looking at DOM quality and how changes in arctic vegetation will affect stream ecosystems.

Connor will be working on understanding shrub vegetation water use and how rapid ecosystem change in Yukon is influence evapotranspiration. Yes, this is his official varsity track photo.

Brett joins the Group from UofT via the Lone Star State. Exciting topic to be revealed, but as a teaser he will be working with collaborators on eDNA to evaluate changes in Yukon streams.
