Admission Review Process
Admission to the iSci Program is limited and by selection only. All iSci Program applicants are required to provide additional information on a Supplementary Application form, which is reviewed by the iSci Admissions Committee.
The purpose of the Supplementary Application is to help us learn more about you, why are you interested in iSci, and to try to ascertain whether the program is suited to you. We aim to identify highly-motivated, well-rounded students with an interest in all fields of science — students with strong communications skills, students who are excited about scientific research, and students who can think creatively about scientific issues. There is no formula for a 'good' Supplementary Application. Be honest! Be yourself!
Admission decisions for iSci are made in the spring and successful applicants will be notified of their offer of admission towards the beginning of May. Best of luck to all students who apply.
All students applying to Integrated Science I program must complete both the iSci Supplementary Application and the OUAC application (OUAC code: MIS).
If you have any questions, please email sis@mcmaster.ca.
Please note that your status on your Student Center will not reflect the successful submission of your Supplementary Application until late-February, approximately 3 to 4 weeks past the February 1 deadline.
The 2020 Supplementary Application is now available. The application will close February 1, 2021.
