Faculty Featured On New UN Sustainability Website
Gita Ljubicic, Karen Kidd, Altaf Arain and Juliet Daniel are among the McMaster researchers showcased on a new website highlighting the university's commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.The 17 goals are a call to action to end poverty and hunger, protect the planet and help people live healthy lives in peace, equity and prosperity by the end of the decade.
"At McMaster, we recognize our responsibility to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as we work together - across disciplines and faculties, locally and globally - to create a healthier, brighter world," says President David Farrar.
McMaster has placed among the top 20 universities globally by the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking for the past two years. The rankings measure universities contributions in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
