The Foundation

The McCall MacBain Foundation was founded in 2007 by John and Marcy McCall MacBain.

Dr. Marcy McCall MacBain received her BKin from McMaster University before completing an MSc in International Health Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She completed her Ph.D. in Evidence-Based Health Care at the University of Oxford. Dr. McCall MacBain is the Founder, Director and Vice-Chair of the McCall MacBain Foundation.

John H. McCall MacBain received his BA in Economics from McGill University before completing an MA in Law from Oxford University. Additionally, he received an MBA from Harvard Business School. John McCall MacBain was the Founder, President and CEO of Trader Classified Media, an international advertising company. He is now the Founder, Director and Chair of the McCall MacBain Foundation.

The McCall MacBain Foundation supports three key areas: education and scholarships, climate change and environment, and health. McMaster University and the McCall MacBain foundation share a mutual goal of investing in people and programs to develop talent and leaders who can build a brighter world, leading us to collectively created the McCall MacBain Postdoctoral Fellows Teaching and Leadership Program, focusing on the education principle of the McCall MacBain Foundation.
