Paul Faure hosted an online event in the McMaster Bat Lab with the Toronto Zoo and his Western University colleague Brock Fenton. Paul and Brock have run popular Bat Nights at the zoo for the past eight years. Proceeds from the annual family event help fund the zoo’s bat conservation work. The Facebook video of their online talk has generated more than 22,000 views.

Eduard Reinhardt and a team of international scientists, divers and technicians generated international media coverage with their discovery of a fully intact skeleton dating back some 13,000 years ago in a Yucatan Peninsula underwater cave. The skeleton sheds new light on when humans came to the Americas.
