The 20-month MEEI/MTEI program is one of the first and most successful entrepreneurship program in the world. It provides budding entrepreneurs the learning, the real-world experience, the mentorship, and the support infrastructure for identifying, starting and developing a technology startup from ideation to company launch. It is the only Canadian program that won the highly coveted Global Entrepreneurship Education Excellence Award from the International Council for Small Business & Entrepreneurship (ICSB).

If you have the entrepreneurial “itch” to start your own company; if you have some great ideas about new products but don’t know where to start; or if you feel the urge of joining an exciting technology startup from the ground up, but don’t know where to find it, then our program was tailored just for you.

The MEEI/MTEI Info Session on May 24, 2018 will provide prospective students, recent graduates and industry professionals from all disciplines the opportunity to meet and learn about our program from instructors and recent alums alike. As you graduate from our program, not only will you be holding a Master’s degree from one of the top-100 universities in the world, you might very well be leading your own company and charting your own destiny.

Disability DIScussions - Feedback Form

This year, the Equity and Inclusion Office and MSU Maccess collaborated with each other and various community partners, including Student Accessibility Services, PATH Employment, and the Student Success centre, to create a series of drop-in style sessions/workshops called “Disability DIScusssions” to facilitate networking, connecting, information-sharing and knowledge translation to students who identify with disability/mental health issues/chronic illness/addiction/madness. We had successful turnouts for each session, but are hoping to better our outreach across Faculties at McMaster to better support all students with disabilities at McMaster, and to better capture where we need to grow regarding gaps in accessibility that exist here. We covered in this year’s sessions topics including:

  • · UDL/Accessibility in teaching and learning + accommodations processes
  • · Accessibility in our eateries (food accessibility)
  • · Navigating graduating and graduate school
  • · Transitioning from university to employment / gaining employment while in university

We’re hoping to gain feedback from students with disabilities who participated in the sessions and/or didn’t but may intend to participate next year, to better inform future workshops and programming and are asking students with disabilities interested in future participation in this programming to fill-out this feedback form, which will contribute to growing and expanding current session topics, environment/set-up, accessibility and intersectionality.
